The AXiS-49 is now available (mid March 2009)

For those that want a Thummer or other alternate-layout keyboard, there is now the AXiS-49, an hexagonal layout keyboard using the related "Harmonic Table" layout. It can be remapped to the Wiki-Hayden layout however.
For much more information, see the C-Thru Music web site http://www.c-thru-music.com and my blog //MusicScienceGuy.vox.com

I now have a Axis-49 keyboard. This is the nearest thing to the Thummer available to date. It works. Tentatively, I think it works well. I hope it can be tricked out to act like one with thumstiks, but we will see.

Hi, just re-posting a confirmation that the way to go seems to be to adapt an Axis-49 from C-Thru music. This will keep this tip from being buried. ken.

I've taken two Axis-49's and a Korg nanopad and made them into a Thummer. See: MusicScienceGuy.vox.com Ken.
